Legacy, Inc. was founded by a small group of people with a heart for children and their country. Convinced that Christian education could be the platform for building a brighter future one child at a time, they began developing plans that would enable children to attend private school despite economic challenges that many families are now facing. In order to support as many children as possible, the board of Legacy, Inc. gladly works on a volunteer basis, ensuring that almost 100% of all contributions go toward as many tuitions as possible.
The name of the organization was inspired by a desire of many to leave a legacy
during their lifetime. What better way to leave a lasting legacy than to help
children become all they were meant to be. To provide a way for these children to
be part of an atmosphere that encourages them to aspire and achieve greatness.
An atmosphere that still allows them to be children. For all of those who
participate in this mission, they are indeed leaving a wonderful legacy that will
continue to repeat itself for many years to come.

Scott Carter believes that every positive effort put forth into the youth of our country will make a brighter future for all of us. This is why Scott and his wife, Lisa, formed the Legacy, Inc. charitable organization in 2011. “When children are given the opportunity to learn in a safe, Godly environment the results are nothing short of amazing.” Scott is committed in giving our future generations the academic skills to succeed as well as provide a safe haven to be nurtured in the admonition of our Lord. Scott has run his own business for over 30 years and uses the many skills learned in the business world as he volunteers for Legacy. Scott believes if we don’t like the way things are going, don’t complain about it, do something about it. Being devoted to a quality education for our children is definitely taking action to hopefully provide a brighter future one child at a time.

Lisa Carter has championed for Christian education for a number of years, consulting with various school board members on how to increase enrollment as well as fundraising. Using the skills acquired through her involvement with state and local governments she has committed herself to demonstrating her love for children, and her deep respect for the founding principles of this country, by creating ways that allow as many children as possible into a Christian educational setting. Several years ago, Lisa and her husband, Scott, decided that the best way to leave a lasting legacy is to invest time, energy and resources into the education of America’s children.
